Here's how Lucy Liu felt about Elementary ending after seven seasons
Posted: September 16, 2024, 9:40AMWhen a series reaches its last season, the cast and crew experience many emotions. Co-stars turn into family, and it's hard to go your separate ways when you spend so much time together.
Lucy Liu and the cast of Elementary had a bond like no other. They were friends when the cameras weren't rolling, making their onscreen chemistry even better. After seven seasons, it was time for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Joan Watson to sign off. The series ended in 2019 after producing 154 episodes.
"I felt accomplished. I didn't feel sad, necessarily. I know that sounds strange, but this was a such big endeavor. I've said before that working on this kind of a show is not a race, you have to pace yourself, and I was really impressed at how we survived. How we were able to group together and become stronger as a family throughout the last seven seasons," she said in an interview with The Wrap.
Liu further shared, "I always look on the bright side of things — I didn't shed a tear, because the joys that came out of this show were the kind that I don't know that I would've thought possible doing other shows and other movies. I just felt so happy. Is that strange? I felt joyous."
