Rachel Feldman on the importance of championing women in Hollywood

Director/Screenwriter Rachel Feldman has headed projects for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and other major networks. She's also written movies for Lifetime and Freeform. She knows how tough it is to get a start in an industry flooded with talent. Especially for women. That's why she told Start TV she makes sure to support women working in the field. "That’s not mentoring," Feldman said. "That’s championing.”

Feldman got her start as a child actor voicing the character of Lucy in "Peanuts" cartoons. Since becoming a writer and director, she's seen more and more women welcomed behind the scenes on TV shows. “The doors are opening, and that is wonderful," Feldman said.
