Growing up, Paula Haney used to make apple pies for her dad. After college, Haney moved to Chicago and worked as a pastry chef at the Hilton Chicago before spending years as a head pastry chef at some of Chicago's finest dining establishments. Dedicated to preserving the tradition of the American pie, Haney decided to open her own company on March 14 ("pi” day), 2009. Having grown up in Indianapolis, it seemed only fitting to name her company Hoosier Mama Pie Company. She is also the author of The Hoosier Mama Book of Pie.
