An actor is genuinely invested in a role when a few cuts and bruises don't affect them. Although there should be measures in place to ensure the cast and crew's complete safety, sometimes scenes are brutal to film, and things happen. For Angie Harmon, who played the beloved Jane Rizzoli on Rizzoli & Isles, she had "plenty of scrapes and bruises" as a result of filming a scene in an episode of the series.

"We've got some serious crimes and serious corpses in the new season, and we've got some great scenes coming up," she said during an interview with Gannett in 2012.

One of the things viewers loved about Rizzoli & Isles was that the lead female characters were full of fire. Maura (Sasha Alexander) and Jane get in touch with their feelings from time to time, but the series showed them more bravely, proving that women can be more than just pretty and emotional.

Harmon detailed one of the scenes that showed what she loved the most about being a part of the show. "Maura and I are in a car being shot at. I've got one foot up on the steering wheel and one foot on the back of the head rest, and I'm firing between my legs and pushing Maura out of the car — all those kinds of things I love doing."
