Kristen Bell was filming season two of Veronica Mars and a movie at the same time
Some people who yearn to become actors can only dream of getting a role on television or in film. Imagine being one of the few to find success in both. Kristen Bell didn't have to imagine it because she was living that dream. While starring as Veronica Mars in the series of the same name, Bell was busy.
Most of her time was spent filming the show, but during season two she was also filming a movie. In a 2006 interview with The Times, the actress detailed how she split her week to film both. We were exhausted just reading about it.
"I'm balancing two different projects. Four days a week, I'm in San Diego shooting Veronica. Then, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I'm in New Mexico making a movie called Fanboys. It's a wonderful comedy about Star Wars nerds driving across the country, and I'm sort of in love with one of the guys."
Bell also talked about how much she enjoyed being one of the few leading women on television at the time. "There are so few strong roles for women, especially young women. And Veronica is very serious but also very likable. She's a lone wolf, and it appeals to people that she isn't rich and doesn't have a lot of friends. No posse. She's just like you, like most of us."
