Remember the Murder, She Wrote episode where a driverless car was the ''suspect''?
Imagine a driverless car causing chaos in your small town. Would you ignore it because strange things always happen, or would you feel confused and scared?
Luckily for Cabot Cove, Jessica Fletcher is always nearby when something goes wrong. In the season one episode of Murder, She Wrote called "Hit, Run, and Homicide," the day starts out peaceful. In the first scene, Jessica and another local are riding their bikes and nearly run into each other.
The town is holding a Founder's Day picnic, and Jessica is supposed to give a speech. While a baseball game is going on in the park, everyone suddenly hears Charles Woodley screaming as he runs away from a car.
"Help me! Stop it, stop that car," Woodley shouts. The car speeds after him while everyone else moves aside. He climbs a gate, the car bumps into it, and Woodley falls onto the car before hitting the ground. He lands in the hospital, but what really scares everyone is that there is no driver in the front seat as the car speeds off.
Later, the same car hits and kills Woodley's partner from Boston, Dean Merrill. More events follow, including Jessica getting trapped in the "suspect" car, which nearly drives off a cliff.
We know who was behind all of this madness, but you'll just have to watch this episode and more when they air on Start TV to refresh your memory.
