Barbara Barreno-Paschall is a Senior Staff Attorney at Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights with the Housing Opportunity Project in Chicago. She works to help empower women to higher office in law and politics, offering these words of encouragement, "Don't settle."
Barreno-Paschall received her Master's in Public Policy and has practiced labor and employment law, as well as working on the behalf of immigrants seeking asylum. She told Start TV that being out in the world is a key part of her work, emphasizing understanding other people's perspectives.
