In 2009, Kyra Sedgwick received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, transforming into a TV icon thanks to her award-winning performances on her hit show The Closer. Back then, while the actress was tied up with the show, she accepted roles in movies, but we didn't see much of her on TV outside of her heated interrogations. But she made time to make at least one special stop in that year after her name shone out on Hollywood Boulevard. The Golden Globe winner took a detour to play a character on the classic children's show Sesame Street.

On The Closer, nobody got by Sedgwick's character, and in a way, her Sesame Street character poked fun at that. She appeared as Camouflage Carla, a costumed sneak who blends into her surroundings while teaching Elmo and the gang the meaning of the word "camouflage." Instead of firing questions with the passion of a vigilante like Brenda Leigh Johnson, Camouflage Carla sings and dances, donning looks that mimic textures in her surroundings, from bricks to potted plants. Watch her charming skit below:

The entire episode "The Camouflage Challenge" had a camouflage theme, and Sedgwick was awesome as its centerpiece, joining two other titans of television, Amy Poehler and Oprah Winfrey, in the 2010 installment of the show. Sedgwick apparently had enough fun to come back the next year, working on the 2011 Sesame Street video "Wild Words and Outdoor Adventures" alongside stars like Debra Messing, Jimmy Fallon and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
